Scalability emerged as a top priority and a key topic of discussion among industry experts and attendees alike. Scalability in AI refers to the ability of an AI system to handle increasingly large workloads, data volumes, and user demands without significant degradation in performance or efficiency. The summit will unite the leading experts in generative AI including high level enterprise technologists, application developers, model and infra builders. Generative AI has captured the attention of the media in the last few months, fuelled by the launch of Chat GPT and driven by concerns over the potential for the technology to be a magnet for fraudsters or for it to decimate white-collar, professional jobs. As always, ASC aims to get behind the headlines and beneath the froth, to weigh up what the pros and cons of this technology will be at for the world of surveys at both a strategic and an operational level.

The takeaway from Zach’s talk is that AI can help unlock creativity in content creation through its speed and capability to generate ideas quickly, giving creators more time and energy to produce incredibly engaging and emotional content. With the use of AI, he’s gone from a team spending hours on ideation to using AI that generates hundreds of ideas in seconds. The impact is his team has more time to refine and execute the ideas, which ultimately means better video content can be produced.

The AI industry is standing on the brink of a seismic shift that threatens to shake the very foundation of our technological existence. Generative AI has unlocked the doors to an infinite realm of possibilities, giving machines the power to create, innovate and mimic human behaviour with startling accuracy. Rather, organisations will need to be able to choose the right model for the right job. Then, customers will need to be able to securely customise these models with their own data. For example, an advertising company may want to fine-tune a model by showing it the company’s top performing ad copy, while an online retailer may want to give the model access to its inventory details so it can pull up the right information when a customer asks. On a positive note, constituting, to some extent, a critical certainty, generative AI technology is considered a potential solution to the climate crisis.
