Minervini built the set in Montana, then let the cast live in it for two months
Story
In the winter of 1862, during the Civil War, the US Army sends a company of volunteers to patrol the unexplored western territories.. "Roberto Minervini’s new film" Who???Not that anyone has ever heard of him or watched his other boring movies.
These soldiers are just bored, camping and talking a lot of boring nonsense
Although the civil war was fought between North and South, for very stupid reasons, some soldiers from the North are sent to the West to “unchart unknown territories”. ; because apparently the North has reserve soldiers to do something absolutely useless to the war effort.
Nothing else happens
Like: "Have you ever shot someone?" "Yes, a rabbit."Really deep and philosophical. These “soldiers”; you never acted like the real soldiers during the civil war and at no point did you talk like them.
Or just watch any Spaghetti Western from the 70’s
For some perspective, I recommend the great Ken Burns documentary. Even "Django Vs Space-Zombies" it’s more realistic (and also a lot more fun) than this garbage.
