Season 1 was an intriguing, somewhat creative premise that showed a lot of promise. But by season 3, you start to feel like they’re dragging it out for no particular reason.
The new elements aren’t even interesting
Season 3 was basically 8 hours of boring drama and 10 minutes of new plot elements. They’re just tacked on to the tail end of unanswered plots. To make matters worse, the dialogue feels like it’s been reduced to mere vowels. It’s just there to fill time while the show tries to pack up.
The scary monsters no longer add tension, instead seeming like an afterthought, abandoned since the circus left town
The show suffers from the same problem as The Walking Dead, repeating and rehashing the same plots until they become completely ineffective. Now, once the main characters have adapted to their environment, they walk freely and interact regularly with the “ghouls” as well.
