Story

In the midst of an international crisis, Kate Wyler, a career diplomat, lands a high-profile job she is unprepared for, with tectonic implications for her marriage and her political future. The British government allowed them to use real-life locations as filming locations for the series, including the newly built American embassy (in Nine Elms, an honor for any film or movie production, especially an American one).

The Diplomat has everything you want in a great series

Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest plot of residential land (11 acres) in London, other than Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming purposes. it has comedy, drama, great acting and writing, etc., etc.

I loved this show so much that I binged all eight episodes over the course of a weekend

The series is about a diplomat (Keri Russell) who lands a new job as ambassador to the United Kingdom after an international crisis occurs when an aircraft carrier is attacked. She also has to deal with her husband (Rufus Sewell), who is already a political star, and their rocky marriage.

I’ll definitely be looking forward to watching this and seeing where this show goes

It’s doing so well and has been so well received that it’s already gotten an early renewal for another season.
