For someone who doesn’t really know the story, I was really interested in the details of what happened
Story
During the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, an American sports broadcasting team was involved in covering the hostage crisis involving Israeli athletes. All the performances are believable, the comedy is in the right places, and the pacing and timing won’t let you watch the exit before the credits roll.
Did a great job without cutting corners
Some may find it tedious not having the scenes change, but I think it worked in this case. I think they wanted you to feel like the control room was your world, and that’s how they felt on this eventful day.
Making you think without preaching
They touched the political and emotional elements well. Mixing footage from the actual event, including broadcast footage, definitely makes you more involved in the experience.
A nice touch
Not a movie I would watch over and over again, but a job well done that I would recommend to friends who like similar movies.
